Los Roques - General Information

Los roques is a Venezuelan archipelago, located in the Caribean Sea, at 168 km north of La Guaira. For its beauty and ecological importance, it was declared National Park in 1972.
The arrival by air is an unforgettable experiencem thanks to the variety of blues that can be observed. The archipelago is formed by 50 different islands. The most important one is the Gran Roque, the only one populated and where tha airport is. The other important islands are Francisqui, Nordisqui, Madrisqui and Crasqui.
Weather: Los Roques keeps an average temperature of 29ºc. On July and August it gets to a maximum of 34ºc, and on September and January presents ocational rain.
